What does the most pricey hotel room in the world look like? Is it furnished with gold bed frames and silk bed sheets? Is it looking out over an inaccessible area of nature? Does it exude grandeur in a luxurious setting? Being expensive is entirely up to the hotel officials to decide. However, having the most costly accommodation doesn’t often imply that it will be to your liking.
On June 4th, 2020, everything related to Playboy was removed from the Palms in Las Vegas. The Empathy Suite was built on the same 34th floor that the Playboy Villa formerly occupied.
The Empathy Suite was conceived by British modern artist Damien Hirst in partnership with New York company Bentel & Bentel Architects and local firm Klai Juba Wald Architects as the architect of record.. The residential masterpiece is only available to million-dollar casino rollers for a minimum of two nights at a magnificent amount of US$200,000. In the suite, there are several areas to unwind, including this nest dangling from the ceiling. With plenty of cushions, chair space, and masterpieces.

The hotel room is home to six of Hirst’s distinctive installations, each showing his diverse investigation of death as a key topic, from bespoke indoor furniture to wall decals boasting the famous butterfly symbol from Hirst’s inaugural exhibition in London in 1991. The British artist is well-known for his extravagant, pop culture-inspired works, which range from formaldehyde-preserved creatures to diamond-encrusted skulls.
When asked why they chose Hirst to establish the collection at the hotel, Jon Gray, the Palms’ general manager, said, “Our approach always begins with the hotel guests experience first, and we conducted a great deal of research into who our prospective guests would be.”

The Most Expensive Night in the World
It Starts with Animal Carcasses
Winner/Loser, a 2018 sculpture creation with a tank with two suspended bull sharks, The Predators greet you inside the suite, and it’s only one of them. The installation is from one of his most well-known series, and it comprises animal carcasses in formaldehyde-filled tanks. The artwork is set smoothly into the wall behind a brilliantly colored pool table in the gaming area, welcoming guests as they approach the space.
Hirst’s Engagement in design
Aside from these great and often bizarre pieces displayed around the suite, art lovers will be delighted to learn that Hirst was directly engaged in creating every corner of the room with fabrics featuring his characteristic patterns. For example, 104 stone butterflies have been placed on the suite’s contemporary marble floor, giving its interiors a modern air.
“I really love what Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta have done with the Palms,” Hirst says. “It’s incredible to be able to work with them since they are great collectors who really understand art.”
A Massive Suite Layout
The Empathy Suite is a 9,000-square-foot sky villa on The Palms Casino Resort’s 34th level in Las Vegas. A luxury apartment with two king bedrooms, a private pool and patio, and two-story floor-to-ceiling windows unrestricted. There’s a butler in the room next door. He is always dressed in a suit and is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The glass bar within the container is actually a case filled with almost 100 pounds of medical waste.
Multiple Spots to Unwind
In the suite, there are several areas to unwind, including a nest dangling from the ceiling. The windows of the master bedroom feature Hirst’s signature pharmacy theme. The Empathy Suite’s pool is barely 2 feet, 4 inches deep, yet a seat there provides one of the greatest views in Las Vegas. You will notice Hirt’s inspiration all over the place. From Butterflies on the pillows and giant illustrations of pills slapped haphazardly onto floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room. It almost feels like you’re in a contemporary art exhibition inside a museum.
Motionless Butterflies
Behind glass, there are motionless butterflies over the California king beds in the master bedroom. Inside the suite, visitors may watch a movie or a television show while exercising on the treadmill. Even the massage chairs have butterflies stitched on them. The fanciful butterflies fly across walls, carpets, headboards, and ornamental panels in the bedrooms (they’re even at the bottom of the pool that overlooks the Strip).
A Thousand Diamonds worth service
As you enter the game area, right beside the pool table, as you play, you can’t unsee the shine. A diamond-lined medicine cabinet graces a wall right next to it. They are, indeed, genuine diamonds. However, we have no idea how many carats the diamonds are or how much this slice of the suite costs.
A King Size for the King inside
Every bed in both master suites is a California king. Each of the 2.5 bathrooms has a Japanese automated toilet seat with a motion detector that activates the throne as you approach so you could do what is done when nature calls.
Aside from the 24/7 butler service, you also get exclusive property tours, chauffeured vehicle service, A-list & VIP pass to any club on the Strip any time of day or night, and $10,000 in resort credit, as you’re being treated like a king.
Relaxation & Game Areas
The suite also features a salt relaxing chamber and an Empathy Suite seat designed to resemble a prescription pill.
A foosball table and a pool table are included in the room with apparent Hirst design adoption. Hirst created the whole suite décor, including the wallpaper. Another container has a variety of prescription medicines. The Empathy Suite’s furnishings is all embroidered with a Hirst pattern.
